Today's assignment: SOMETHING YOU DREW.
Wow. I SO don't draw! I have some
mad colouring skillz,
but drawing...? Not so much. Well, at least, not generally speaking.
Somewhere, there exists a sketch book from about 20 years ago that proves I CAN draw fairly well when the feeling hits and all the planets are appropriately aligned and the moon is in its full house or whatever, but of course, I couldn't find it. I'm beginning to believe that pad is still at my parents' house for reasons unknown.
I know. You think I'm lying. BUT, there are at least a handful of people who can attest to this wild tale's veracity!
Anyway, in this alleged sketch book, I know, are some quite good drawings of my parents' back yard (if I do say so myself), a pair of barn swallows sitting on a hydro line, and various other sketches that were required for my design studio course in first-year architecture. I kept only the good ones so the sketch book is mighty thin, but SOME pretty good drawings really do exist! HONEST!!
But the only thing I've drawn recently is this:
The giant cupcake and accompanying cherries used for "pin the cherry on the cupcake" at AJ's 8th birthday party last month. And really, they showcase my normal drawing abilities pretty accurately anyway, so I guess they're quite appropriate for this assignment!

Ha ha, that's funny.
One time I managed to draw a fairly accurate picture of Winnie the Pooh while looking at a drawing. But I think that must've been a one time fluke. I seriously cannot sketch worth a dime. ;)
Well, the cupcake is adorable, so I find myself believing in this mysterious sketch book of yours...

Huh. That's a pretty impressive cupcake if you ask me! Now I on the other hand am SERIOUSLY the worst draw-er in the world!!
